Short-Term Medical insurance provides protection when circumstances leave you temporarily uninsured.

Policies are available for you up to age 64, your spouse age 18 to 64, and dependent children under the age of 26.

While not a substitute for a major medical plan that meets the minimum essential coverage levels of the ACA, Short-Term Medical insurance underwritten by Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC), is perfect for individuals and families who may have missed open enrollment, don’t have a qualifying event outside of open enrollment, or are waiting for an ACA or employer plan to go into effect.1

When three people in your family meet their deductible, that satisfies the deductible requirements for any other covered family members for the remainder of the coverage period. Plan options are customizable and other optional benefits can be purchased, including Rx Pay Card and Supplemental Protection.
